Seven plants of Mars company (one of the largest manufacturers in the field of food and animal feed) in Russia have implemented the SAP Extended Warehouse Management system (SAP EWM). The project was implemented by TeamIdea company.
The team's goal was to increase the capacity of the IT system responsible for warehouse logistics and order processing speed. SAP EWM testing took place simultaneously at all 7 enterprises in parallel with the development and configuration of the system, then each of the plants was put into operation in stages. It is planned to deploy the system at three more factories of the company in Russia in the future as well as in the distribution center.
It was noted in the Mars company that this project in Russia is a good example for using the SAP EWM system at Mars enterprises in other countries. Today the SAP EWM implementation project is also underway in Latin America.
