Winter Universiade is an international student and youth competitions, held under the International University Sports Federation (FISU) at subzero temperatures. To provide professional and reliable communication in harsh weather conditions and meet the daily needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hytera has developed special solutions DMR Tier II, RD985S, MD78X, PD70X, PD78X, PD985, headset "only for reception" type C, as well as waterproof microphone with remote dynamics.

Hytera DMR Tier II solution allows you to stay connected in any situation in a wide range of radio networks. Since the products are developed in accordance with DMR, PD78X, PD70X and MD78X standards, they are compatible with MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G and IP67 standards and ensure maximum performance even in harsh conditions, allowing to double the number of channels on the basis of resources of the same spectrum and benefit from the technology TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access – plural access with division in time), which brings great help with the growing narrowing of the range of communication.

Thanks to the multi-site IP connectivity, the RD985S solution supports interconnection via the IP port of the repeater to form a private radio network. This allows you to cover a wide area for data and voice communication in dispersed locations. Based on the noise reduction method, PD985 can use one slot to receive the signal and the other to transmit it at the same frequency at the same time in direct mode (DMO) to increase the communication distance.

During preparing preparatory measures to the event, the executives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that: "Last year we already had the experience of taking the large-scale international sport event and now we have a challenge to ensure safety during the Winter Universiade".
