Alibaba rented all airplanes of Russian Post to deliver orders with AliExpress in 10 days

On November 7, 2019 it became known that Alibaba rented at Russian Post all airplanes for a direct and fast delivery of orders of AliExpress from China to Russia.

Russian Post, China Post and Cianiao company (enters into Alibaba Group) started joint logistics service of cPacket. It will significantly reduce specific cost value of one sending and will increase quality of logistics for Internet platforms, the deputy CEO for the international business of JSC Russian Post, Denis Ilyin said.

Cainiao rented seven airplanes, including two at Russian Post and three at Aviastar-TU airline. These are the Boeing 757 and 737 and TU-204 liners. Cainiao branded one of them in the corporate colors. A lease term does not reveal.

The agreement between the parties provides the regular aviation message on route by Hangzhou – Moscow and also in Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk which allows to reduce delivery date as much as possible. Flights to all cities will be performed once a day, and on the eve of the sale on November 11 their number will increase to two in day.

The sent sendings will be processed in the sorting center of Russian Post in Vnukovo and also in new distribution centers in Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg. Daley sendings will extend in postal telegraph offices.

Within this cooperation Russian Post acts as the authorized customs operator for cross-border purchases of AliExpress. It will allow to avoid delivery delays during a peak season and will help on average a day quicker to process international orders, partners consider.

"The new product will allow us to adjust direct delivery routes to the largest cities of the country of which more than a half of all orders with AliExpress is the share.
