Accenture acquired PLM Systems integrator

Accenture has announced the completion of its acquisition of PLM Systems, a system integrator based in Turin. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

PLM Systems integrator was founded in 1996. The company specializes in designing and creating information systems for product lifecycle management. Its main clients are Italian and international companies working in the automobile, industrial equipment, fashion, aerospace and defense industries.

The PLM Systems team joins the Italian division of Accenture Industry X.0. This will expand Accenture's expertise in creating, managing and extracting business value from product data in the areas of design, engineering and manufacturing.

It was said in Accenture that the acquisition of PLM Systems is part of an overall growth strategy aimed at expanding the necessary skills and capabilities in fast-growing areas of the market.

"The practice of expanding the services offered by Accenture by acquiring companies that already have a name on the market shows itself well in the example of Accenture Interactive. Such agreements can only be welcomed in the context of the development of Industry X.0," - said Anton Epishev, head of Accenture's industry X.0 business in Russia.

According to him, PLM systems are an important part of digital production and development of new projects. Adding a strong team to Accenture will allow to offer more interesting solutions to clients.

"Competence in PLM and related areas is still in demand on the Russian market. This is why this expansion of the team is important for Accenture in Russia," - said Anton Epishev.
