Huawei will support the research of MIPT graduate students in the field of artificial intelligence

The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), together with the Russian research institute of Huawei, is launching a program to support postgraduate research in the company's scientific interests, mainly in the field of artificial intelligence.

Recruitment for the program will take place until August 31, 2020 and will include an online application process, as well as an interview with company representatives. Participants of the program can be phystech postgraduates of 1-3 courses and their scientific supervisors.

Among the topics covered by this program are machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, image processing, 3D modeling, cloud technologies, voice separation in polyphony, the system of simultaneous localization and map construction (SLAM), graph theory, and others.

Director of Huawei's Moscow R&D center, Lu Rui, noted that supporting young scientists and creating conditions for advanced research and development are the most important priorities for our company's activities in Russia. "In this way, we contribute to the development of the Russian scientific and educational ecosystem and contribute to increasing the country's elite human resources in the field of high technologies. MIPT is our long-standing partner, and we are focused on long – term and fruitful cooperation," - said Lu Rui.
